Drive up over 3,292 feet up the White Pass as you make your way to the historic Yukon! Make sure to have your passport ready as you cross the Canadian border and into the Yukon. Listen to your local tour guide as they regale stories of the gold rush, Yukon history, and teach you all about the native flora and fauna as you make your way to a remote Yukon Mushers camp.
At the mushers camp, you will get to learn all about the Iditarod, Alaska's most popular sport! You get 20 minutes of riding on an ATV equipped with real sled dogs to take you through the alpine wilderness. Back at the camp, you will also have the opportunity to pan for real gold and enjoy the thrill that sparked the Gold Rush! Don't worry, you get to keep anything you find!
On your way back depending on time, your tour guide may stop for a photo op at the "Welcome to Alaska!" sign and Bridal Veil Falls. This tour is a must for families, kids, and anyone who loves dogs!

Duration: 4.5 hours. Tour times below are approximate:
- Pick up from the cruise ship dock
- 15~20 minutes - city tour
- 1.5 hour - travel up White Pass to Yukon dog camp
- 1.5 hour - at the Yukon dog camp
- 1.5 hour - drive back to Skagway with scenic stops
- Your tour bus will be waiting in the loading zone, which is just a short walk from the cruise dock. Fully detailed meeting instructions will be included in your finalized ticket vouchers.
ADA Accessibility of Tour:
- This tour is limited mobility accessible. Vehicles are collapsible wheelchair accessible, passengers must navigate three steps with handrails on all bus, however, the driver is unable to assist passengers boarding and disembarking due to insurance regulations. Please leave a comment during checkout if accommodations for collapsible equipment will be required on tour.
Are passports required for this tour?
Yes, a passport is required to pass over the Canadian border. Refunds will not be given due to lack of a passport.
Is this on a dog sled in the snow?
The dog mushing portion is on an ATV pulled by the dogs. There is likely not to be snow.
What type of clothing should I wear?
Layered clothing and waterproof clothing are recommended.

Can multiple families book this tour and be together?
Yes! Multiple families may join the same tour as long as adequate space is available and the maximum is not exceeded.
What happens if my ship is delayed getting into port?
If your ship is late, please call your tour operator so that your tour time can be adjusted. If an alternate tour time is not compatible with your schedule, your ticket will be fully refunded with no fees or penalties.
What if my tour is cancelled due to bad weather?
All tours that cancel because of weather will be fully refunded with no fees or penalties.
Where do I meet the tour operator to be picked up for my excursion?
All tours pick-up either at your cruise ship or within a short walking distance of your cruise ship unless otherwise noted. When you purchase your excursion, your ticket will be sent to you via email with detailed meeting instructions and emergency contact information. If you have any questions relating to a specific excursion, please contact the tour operator listed on your ticket.
What if I am unable to print my ticket before I arrive in port?
All reservations are saved under the name you purchased your excursions and are kept on file with your tour operator. Having your tickets in-hand is the optimal choice to avoid confusion because the directions and meeting instructions are included. Please contact us if you are unable to print the tickets.
