Yukon Suspension Bridge & White Pass Summit Tour

This small group tour provides a wonderful opportunity to view the stunning scenery of the White Pass and the surrounding area with a local, high-quality guide.

Meet your guide, board the comfortable vehicle and enjoy a short tour of Skagway's historic district before climbing steeply toward the Chilkoot Mountains. The dramatic scenery of the White Pass summit soon surrounds you. This is a wonderland of impressive peaks, azure lakes, and stunted forests. The pace is unhurried; you will have ample time to enjoy the view with stops at choice scenic locations.

Past the summit visit the Yukon Suspension Bridge, where you can venture out onto the bridge to get stunning views of the turbulent waters of the Tutshi River below. Learn about the Gold Rush history and the natural history of the area. Walk along the boardwalk and immerse yourself in the miniature world of alpine wildflowers.

The tour will return to Skagway with an optional visit (time permitting) to the Gold Rush Cemetery and Lower Reid Falls. A short nature walk through the forest takes you to the base of Lower Reid Falls. The water drops over one hundred feet as it pours out of the forested granite mountainside above. Return to your ship having had an experience you won't forget.

Mr Cunning was an excellent tour guide and gave us an excellent tour along with several very helpful camera techniques. Much appreciated. Would highly recommend this tour for scenery and value. I consider it a better value than the train.

A great drive with lots to see on the way was made very enjoyable by our guide. Being a professional photographer he seemed very pleased to help anyone who needed it to get that perfect photo of the excursion. The bridge was impressive and a great experience for those that like to walk around in nature while getting a bit of a history lesson.

Aug 2022 - Anne H.

Our guide, Dale, did an excellent job on this tour. He is also a professional photographer and took some great pictures with our cameras so that we would have them as memories.

It was an excellent experience! Our guide Dale was AMAZING! He helped us take excellent photos and drove us to unique spots that weren't surrounded by other tourists. It was worth the money and we did so much in just a few hours.

Jul 2022 - Dale M.

Loved the scenery and the commentary by our driver.

Jun 2022 - KristyAnn L.

Absolutely wonderful! Our train excursion was canceled and at the last minute reserved the suspension bridge and White Pass Tour. Paul, our guide was amazing. He stopped at several places along the way for pictures. (Something the train wouldn't do.) We also loved hearing about Skagway, its history, and fun facts. Thank you for an amazing tour! We definitely recommend this tour!

Jun 2022 - Carolyn R.

Beautiful scenery! It was great that we stopped several times to take photos. Also, we went into Canada to see the suspension bridge. It is my understanding that the train does not go that far. There were only 8 passengers on our trip, making this a much more personalized experience.

Jun 2022 - Lyndsey E.

We had an excellent time on this tour. Our driver, Dale, was amazing. He was very personable and gave us the time of our lives. The drive to the summit was beautiful and we were able to stop for some fabulous pictures. The suspension bridge was amazing. And to top it all off, we were able to see a bear!

We had an amazing time on this tour. Our guide was new but did her best to ensure that everyone enjoyed their experience. We stopped for some great photo ops.

May 2022 - Cindy S.

What a great trip! Our guide, Paul, and our "guide in training", Dale, were both so pleasant and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the ride and appreciated all the information they gave us. The view from the suspension bridge was unbelievably beautiful! I am so glad we picked this over the train ride as the train is no longer going far enough into Canada to visit the bridge. We stopped and were able to take pictures at a few vantage points, including the "Welcome to Alaska" sign. I highly recommend this excursion.

Aug 2018 - Janelle G.

Our Skagway tour to the Yukon Suspension Bridge was excellent. The timing was impeccable, as we arrived to the suspension bridge after all the ship tours had already left, so our small tour of 10 people had the place to ourselves. Our lovely driver made several stops along the White Pass for pictures, and made sure we had plenty of time to see everything of interest along the way. This was a great use of a half-day excursion, with plenty of time for shopping in Skagway while our ship was in port.

Jul 2018 - Karen R.

Beautiful drive from Skagway to the Yukon bridge with a very knowledgeable tour guide.

Jul 2018 - David W.

We had a great time with Cindy on this trip. She knew the area and was friendly and helpful, especially with photos. Very happy!

Jul 2018 - Carol D.

The tour was excellent . We enjoyed the suspension bridge and sights along the way. I think the name of the driver was Cindy. We could not remember her name but the tour was the 4th of July. Our ship was docked in Haines and we had to take the ferry across to Skagway to do this tour. We explained to her that we needed to be back at 3:15 to the ferry to catch it by 4:00. She did a more than great job making sure that we were back on time to get back to Haines to catch our cruise ship. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Jun 2018 - Shauna C.

We loved this tour. We had 5 adults and 3 kids. We were able to see almost the same sights as the train, but we were able to stop and take pictures at different sights. I'm so glad we picked this tour.

Jun 2018 - Michael M.

Guide was excellent. She took care to get the people who had an early departure back on time while taking nothing ftom the tour. Ride was dusty due to construction on the road. Thanks to the dry weather, which was excellent. I enjoyed the small groups of all of our tours. We rode the train up the pass in the morning and took your tour up the road in the afternoon. I was fearful there would be a lot of repetition. Two completely different experiences. Driver/guide was a great photographer.

Jun 2018 - Song C.

It was a good relaxing tour with van and the information provided by the tour guide was excellent.

May 2018 - MATTHEW R.

Mischa and his colleague were very informative and knew the area well. A very relaxing tour which made the whole day worthwhile.

May 2018 - Marita F.

It was a great tour seeing so many majestic peaks and snow covered passes. A lot of neat things to see at the Suspension Bridge visitor center and walking out over it and looking down at the icy waters below was awesome! Our tour guides Rachael and Cindy were very friendly, knowledgeable and good photographers. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!!!

Oct 2017 - Teresa R.

Rachel our Guide was great, informative, friendly and had a great sense of humour. We were in a small group and had several stops at waterfalls and several photo opportunities. Magnificent views, scenery and the Yukon suspension bridge was absolutely breath taking, thoroughly recommend this tour and it was more personal and cheaper than the big tours and coaches.

Sep 2017 - Angela C.

Excellent guide. Very knowledgeable. Only 4 of us in the mini bus. Comfortable. Good itinerary. Still expensive. Guide was on time and found him where the paper said.

Jul 2017 - William N.

The driver was extremely interesting and the view from the suspension bridge was fabulous.

Jun 2017 - Jerry T.

There were only 4 people on this tour which made for a more personable and enjoyable time, unlike the larger tours with 50-100 people. The guide (Barb) was very knowledgeable and friendly. She went out of her way to make sure we saw everything and made everyone feel like family. I would highly recommend this tour.

Jun 2017 - Mark C.

Mischa as an awesome tour guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the history and area.
