Excursion Overview

Dramatic beauty surrounds you on this scenic drive out of Skagway

Skagway is known for its proximity to the Canadian border. Embark on a scenic drive up to the White Pass Summit and take in all the splendor that our neighbors to the north have to offer! Your adventure begins in downtown Skagway, where you'll find your tour guide and board the 24-passenger mini-bus.

Relax on a scenic ride up to the White Pass Summit, passing by majestic mountains, rainforests, and waterfalls. Upon reaching the summit, you'll enter what is known as the Tormented Valley. The valley is characterized by striking rock formations, brilliant green lakes, and colorful lichen lining the bedrock. Don't forget your camera!

After crossing the Canadian border, you'll visit the famous Yukon Suspension Bridge. The bridge is suspended 65 feet in the air, swaying over the rushing white-water rapids of the Tutshi River. There's truly no better way to witness the awe-inspiring power of Alaska's natural landscape. Before boarding the bus again, you'll have time to enjoy the bridge's outdoor walking museum, visit the gift shop, and try some yummy Canadian snacks. Then it's time to sit back and relax for the breathtaking drive back down to Skagway.

This was the highlight of our trip! Melissa knew the area so well. We had plenty of time to explore the bridge. She was very friendly, professional, and took great pictures too! I also noticed right away how clean the windows were on the vehicle. She takes pride in her work and sharing about Alaskan life.
