Skagway Private Seek the Summit Tour

Excursion Overview

Private White Pass Summit & Klondike Highway Scenic Driving Tour

Journey through the heart of Alaska’s Gold Rush history on this scenic White Pass and Klondike Highway tour from Skagway. Traveling along the same rugged route once used by hopeful stampeders during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898, guests will wind through historic downtown Skagway before climbing high above the Tongass National Forest toward the breathtaking summit of the White Pass. Along the way, towering waterfalls, dramatic mountain peaks, glacier-carved valleys, and sweeping views of the sub-alpine tundra create one of the most unforgettable drives in Alaska.

As the journey continues toward the Canada and Alaska border, guests will hear stories of the adventurers, hardships, and determination that shaped the Yukon frontier. This relaxed two-hour sightseeing experience is perfect for travelers looking to experience Skagway’s rich history and stunning mountain scenery without strenuous activity. Guests looking for an extended adventure may enjoy the longer “Skagway Private Suspension Bridge & Emerald Lake Tour” option for even more time exploring the White Pass region.

This tour is typically available from May through September. Our excursions were designed for cruise ship passengers but are available to everyone.
