Fantastic way to see local nature close-up! Better than tours by coach or seaplane and also great value.

We booked this excursion for our NCL Cruise through Alaska. Saved a bunch of money going outside the cruise line. We had our reservations for first thing in the morning and it was the most relaxing and best way to start our day in Skagway. Our tour guide was fantastic, personable and very knowledgeable. Would book this again if we were back in Skagway.

Owen was an excellent guide and we had perfect weather. We saw so many eagles on a very beautiful peaceful float. Highly recommend this for everyone, all ages and abilities

Lovely way to see the river. The river float was a great experience. Very gentle, we floated down and round - sideways, backwards as well as forwards. Our guide / rower was very good at explaining what we were seeing and keeping us off the banks. The water is only just above freezing but he reassured us they have training in what to do someone falls in (no one ever has). We both enjoyed the experience very much.

Wish the car ride had been shorter and the rafting longer.

This was a awesome trip! Relaxing, easy to navigate the web site and the employees running it were all top notch. Everything stated in the description was right on.

We had a great time and enjoyed our trip. My wife and I both are in our late 60's and had no problem getting in and out of the raft. Our guide was great and did all the work we just sat back and enjoyed the scenery. We saw 3 eagles on our way to the river and stopped for pictures.

We loved this excursion! We were with our 11 year old grandson and he really enjoyed taking in the beautiful scenery. Our guide was wonderful. She was energetic, enthusiastic and informative.

Very nice, a wonderful guide, Sam was very knowledgeable But you will really not see wildlife, a few eagle nests and water is murky in the summer so you will not see anything in the water.

It was a gorgeous day and beautiful float. I wish we were given more history of the area before and after. And was sad the only wildlife we saw was a duck. But the kids running the float were really nice!

We were fortunate to have sunny weather and wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Our group of 23 was split into 3 different boats. Everyone was very happy with their guide. The process was very smooth as the guides met us when we came off the dock. Our guide, Bob, was very informative not only about the river, but also about the region, the wildlife, and the town of Skagway. We had lots of kids in our group and Bob was very patient with their questions. Though the float itself was rather short (less than an hour), this was an overall great experience and it allowed us time to do other things in the area. Almost forgot to mention the snacks and the kind girls who helped us when we came ashore. Definitely a 5-star rating for this experience.

We had a party of 8 including 3 kids. This was a great way to enjoy Skagways beauty. I would recommend this excursion.

Relaxing and beautiful. It was cold and windy with light rain on our day in Skagway but this tour equipped us with the rain boots & ponchos to keep us dry. It was a nice way to take in the beauty of this party if Alaska. Our tour guide was very informative. Saw some eagles along the way.

Entire family enjoyed this excursion ( ages range from 9-71) Relaxing and beautiful even in the rain. Guide was very informative about the region and Alaska,

We wanted to do something that got us into Alaska but allowed for people with some physical limitations to participate. This was a perfect fit. The tour guide does all the rowing! Not only do you get taken to a place where no one else is playing in tourist but you get an awesome Skagway tour from a friendly laid back person. We went on excursions through the cruise line too but this one gave a real local feel. Not sure if Ryan does all the tours but he was great. The other people who worked with him were friendly, laid back and fantastic. Great Experience and highly recommend. BTW the ride down the river was beautiful, calm and worth the money.

The Skagway River Float was a wonderful experience. Ryan, our guide, was fun and very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. The entire crew made it a relaxing. The scenery was amazing and inspiring. If you have one excursion to do, I would encourage you to take the Skagway River Float. I would definitely do the float trip again!

Brook was the best. She was very interesting and so much fun. She made the river float a wonderful experience. Thanks for the opportunity to see this beautiful state.

Jun 2017 - Kim L.

Had a great experience! Easy float down the river surrounded by amazing views.

Aug 2016 - Michaline Y.

This is an easy, low impact excursion. Driver/oarsman was a very congenial young lady who gave us lots of information about Skagway and surrounding area on our way to the launch point. Float was comfortable and we saw a few bald eagles. Snacks at the end were excellent. .smoked salmon, crackers, cookies, drinks. We chose this float because we had children and we didn't want to spend half the day just getting to the launch point. This was perfect.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We had a nice trip and saved money by using this service as compared to the ships pricing.
