Excursion Overview

Come enjoy a taste of Skagway, Alaska's past!

An all-you-can-eat, mouth-watering assortment of warm and cold dishes awaits your arrival in beautiful Skagway. This sumptuous all-you-can-eat feast features Alaska's signature Alderwood-grilled WILD salmon, Cheechako chicken, Chilkoot baked beans, Tongass wild-rice pilaf, a selection of sides, salads, beverages, and homemade blueberry cake for dessert. Beer and wine are available for purchase. This delicious meal also includes a visit to an 1898 replica campsite located in the historic Liarsville region.

While you partake in all of the modern conveniences and menu items from our century, take the time to reflect on how the prospectors of yesteryear survived. Converse with colorful characters and gold-digging madams as you enjoy a glimpse back at life during the Klondike gold rush. Visit the Fancy Goods Gift Shop to find a special souvenir.

This tour includes round trip transfer, all-you-can-eat fire-grilled salmon and accompanying menu items, and access to Liarsville historic exhibits. The recommendation is to dress comfortably and don't forget your camera!

This excursion is way over-rated and over priced for what you receive. The staff and crew are nice and personable. That s not an issue, but the entire thing is about as podunkey as you can possibly get. Location is surrounded by third world conditions. Set up is pretty sad, as if they raided a local rummage sale to decorate. Food is basic and bland. You re better off to just explore downtown Skagway and find a good lunch place in town.

This is the second time we have gone on this excursion. One time in April of 2023 and this time in August of 2025. In 2023 the food was awesome and unbelivable delisious. Sadly that was not true this time. Food was cold, famous glaze on samon was not up to expectations, samon meat was mushy and lacked flavor and the dining area was not fun and jovial as it was the first time we went. First time would have rated a 10 and there was no entertainment. This time the entertainment saved the experience but I was really wanting the amazing food again and it just was not there. Disapointed.
