Cuddle with puppies and dogs at the musher's camp and become a S'mores artist!
Your excursion starts with a narrated scenic transportation from your pier. Your knowledgeable tour guide will drive you through downtown Skagway and along 9 miles of stunning coastline to our entertaining musher's camp in Dyea. Our friendly staff will share stories about the musher's camp history.
This educational presentation will be our chance to share our passion for dog sledding throughout the years and we'll answer some of the most frequently asked questions about the sport. During this conversation, we will also welcome any additional questions you may have. Don't worry though, we'll make sure you have plenty of time to play with our adorable puppies as your affections help to socialize these future athletes, which is essential to their racing success.
Next, you will enjoy some time around the campfire and learn to create your own delicious treat as your guide teaches you the art of S'mores roasting! This experience includes toasting the graham cracker, warming the chocolate, and roasting the perfect marshmallow, then combing them all for the most astounding S'mores! You will then have time to take a self-guided nature hike next to beautiful waterfalls and dense Alaskan forest or browse the gift shop and relax in our saloon with a deck overlooking the picturesque stream.
This is a tour full of Alaskan adventure, history, and awe-inspiring wilderness. We take pride in sharing our passion for mushing and for Alaska. It would be our honor to give you the excursion of a lifetime.
