This was a fabulous tour! Marissa was a wonderful guide up to the training camp. Then, the ride with the dogs, playing with the puppies and meeting Michelle Phillips was the icing on the cake. Our family, ages 6 to 74, would all highly recommend this tour.

If you're docked in Skagway, do yourself a favor and book this tour. A short walk from the ship, you're on a bus headed through the Klondike Highway with Marissa as your guide â and she is the real highlight. Energetic, quirky, and packed with historical knowledge, she makes the drive as entertaining as the scenery (and the scenery is stunning). Multiple stops at lookout points mean you actually get out, stretch your legs, and take photos (something the train simply can't offer.) She even pivoted the route based on weather to get us a better view, which says a lot about how much she cares about the experience. The Musher Camp was an added bonus. We learned about sled dog racing, took a ride with mountain views all around, and got to pet the puppies which my kids loved. Fair warning: it's a long tour, so bring snacks and water. But every minute is filled with beauty and history. One of the best excursions we've done on any cruise.

The icing on the cake was our tour operator. Her knowledge, commentary, upbeat, effervescent personality and enthusiasm made this a 6 star experience.
