The helicopter ride up to the Denver glacier was beautiful. Our pilot explained the different types of glaciers we saw. The sled dog camp was so much fun. We loved learning about the dogs and the sport.

This was one of the major highlights of our trip. With seven people in our party ages 11-78 it's sometimes hard to find something that is exciting for everyone. This excursion had so many amazing pieces wrapped into one event. The helicopter flight over the mountains and glaciers was spectacular alone but combining it with landing on a glacier then learning about the history of the Alaskan sled dog from Jeremy was so informative and fascinating. He really helped us all understand the specific challenges of the Iditarod race and unique abilities these dogs have to persevere in unimaginable circumstances. They are amazing creatures! We were able to meet the dogs and love on them then watch an exhibition of their skill working together as a team. One of the highlights amidst this outstanding tour was the sled dog puppies that we got to snuggle. It was a favorite for everyone in our group! Overall this was our favorite experience in Alaska!!

Our helicopter glacier dog sledding experience in Skagway was absolutely unforgettableâhands down the highlight of our entire Alaska trip! From start to finish, everything was seamless, professional, and awe-inspiring. The helicopter ride was breathtaking, offering panoramic views of the Alaskan wilderness, rugged peaks, and the stunning glacier below. The moment we landed on the snow-covered glacier, it felt like we had stepped into another worldâpure, pristine, and surreal. Meeting the sled dogs and their mushers was incredible. The dogs were full of energy and clearly loved what they do. The mushers were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about dog sledding, sharing stories about training, racing, and life on the glacier. We even got to cuddle with some of the younger pups! If you re visiting Skagway, do not miss this experience. It s worth every penny and more. This isn t just a tourâit s a memory that stays with you forever.
