Meet your guide a short distance from the cruise ship terminal in the heart of downtown Skagway. Familiarize yourself with the electric bike and get ready for several hours of scenery, history, and plenty of photo opportunities.

Your adventure begins along the historic waterfront of Skagway, Alaska. Known as the Gateway to the Yukon, Skagway's historic origins come to life as you admire turn-of-the-century buildings including the Arctic Brotherhood Hall, The Golden North Hotel, and White Pass Train Depot. Your guided e-bike tour includes a stop at Alaskan Fairytales for a chance to pan for authentic Klondike gold. Delight in an interactive demonstration to learn the do's and don'ts of gold panning. Next up, take a bike ride over to the "Gold Rush Cemetery" to uncover many secrets of Skagway's past. Guests will also have the chance to visit Lower Reid Falls, a gorgeous waterfall tucked behind the cemetery.

Wrap up your excursion with a ride to the City Overlook. This picturesque bluff provides panoramic views of Skagway and the Lynn Canal. Learn about how the Skagway Valley and the longest, deepest fjord in North America was formed.

Requirements:

Guests must sign a liability waiver. If the participant is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign for them. These will be completed in person at the time of your tour or rental.
Anyone under 5' tall may have issues handling the size and weight of the e-bike.
Weight limit: 300 lbs
Age limit: Ages 14+
Wear clothing that would be appropriate for an outdoor excursion based on local weather conditions. The best advice for gearing up for any excursion along your trip is to bring layers.
While riding an electric bicycle is easier than a standard bike, you will need to know how to ride a bike before joining us on tour.

Layered clothing is always recommended for Alaskan weather. We recommend you wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate attire.

The guided tours will take you about 7.5 miles throughout town and on the outskirts of town. Upon completion of the tour, you will have some free time to explore Skagway on your own.

The RadPower Bikes are just like regular bikes, but with an electric motor that adds a boost of assistance while pedaling. This is adjustable depending on how hard you want to pedal or how fast you want to go. The assist will give you a nice boost while riding against the wind or going uphill.

Yes! Prior to embarking on your bikes, we will provide a safety briefing and make sure you understand how to use your e-bike.

Your guides check the weather forecast the night before each tour to make sure it is safe to ride. Keep in mind that this is Alaska and drizzling rain is a common thing. A light rain will not postpone your tour. Bring a raincoat and enjoy the experience! If the tour provide does cancel the tour due to weather conditions, a full refunded will be granted.

There are bathrooms at several of the stops along the way. It is recommended that you use the restroom before the tour departs.

25 to 30 minutes will be allocated. You will be able to keep any gold you find during the panning session!
