Grizzly Falls Ziplining Adventure

Excursion Overview

Fast, fun, and exhilarating ziplining adventure is waiting for nature lovers and thrill seekers!!

Get a running start on solid ground and take flight into the treetops of the Alaskan rainforest! It all starts at your cruise dock when you meet up with your guide. From there, enjoy an entertaining historic tour through downtown Skagway then along 9 miles of stunning coastline.

When you arrive at our base in Dyea, you will transfer into our customized Unimog - an all-wheel-drive vehicle necessary for getting up our rugged mountain road. During your adventurous ride up the mountain, look out at the impressive rainforest and glacially-fed waterfalls. Get psyched - you're about to fly over this wild landscape! At the top of the mountain, you will suit up in gear that meets the highest standards of safety while your highly trained guide tells you what to expect and how to safely navigate the course.

You will then be lead to the Grizzly Falls zipline take-off zone, where you'll clip in and fly away! You'll soar through a course of 10 ziplines. But this is more than just any zipline course. Our lines will bring you directly above glacially fed waterfalls, so close you will actually feel the mist as you zoom by! For the more cautious adventurers, rest assured that you can always control your own speed with a brake system. But we double dog dare you to let go and zoom up to 45 miles per hour!

Of course, that's a little too fast to take those perfect pictures of the Alaskan wilderness. That's why we decided that a hardcore Unimog and a 10 line zip course over waterfalls just isn't quite enough. So we added 4 state-of-the-art suspension bridges. From these bridges, you'll be able to capture stunning photos of you and your loved ones in the heart of Alaska's wild beauty.

After completing the course, pat yourself on the back, say goodbye to your guides, and enjoy your last ride in the Unimog to your bus at the bottom of the mountain. Take advantage of the scenic drive back to Skagway to look over your pictures and joke about who was the bravest zipliner. This is bound to be an "E.X.C.U.R.S.I.O.N of a lifetime", one you will surely remember for years to come!

This was the top highlight of our excellent Alaska Adventure. We enjoyed the van ride to the base camp (the driver was both interesting and funny) and the area is beautiful. The truck ride up the mountain revealed one of the most beautiful and memorable forests that I have seen. The streams, crisp air. The young people who helped us were so nice. It was the BEST excursion, and I would love to return.

I had so much fun. The guides for our group had the best sense of professsionalism and humor. If I lived in Alaska I would be there once a month. It was so beautiful where you have the ziplines, the trip up was a blast and I cannot say WOW often enough.

Really fun excursion. The guides were amazing, full of energy and they got everyone involved in having fun, even the reluctant teenagers! Well done Ashley and Britany.

Wow what a day this was! A great ride out of town and to the site. Then all the fun on all the zip lines to boot. Great staff that takes great care of you and even if you are a little nervous, they make it all better. A must do if you have time

This tour was great from the start, our driver navigated us to the zipline camp and shared tons of information about the area, its history, and the wildlife nearby. Once at the camp, the ride to the top was bumpy but super fun, and once on the course, our guides put us all at ease and made each leg of the zip line fun by challenging us to learn a new skill or perform something silly while on the line. Great views and great weather made this an amazing experience.
