Ketchikan Rainforest Zipline, Skybridge & Rappel Adventure

The Ketchikan rainforest canopy zipline is an adventure for the whole family! This Ketchikan zipline excursion is consistently rated as one of the best things to do in the port.

Enter the Eagle Creek fly zone, the ultimate nature experience! Imagine the thrill of gliding through the top of a rich rainforest canopy along a series of eight dual cable ziplines and navigating three aerial bridges suspended between tall spruce, hemlock, and cedar trees, bordering the magnificent Tongass National Forest. This major rainforest reserve embraces one of Alaska's richest salmon spawning streams and a pristine inter-tidal estuary. Abundant wildlife habitat includes a high concentration of bald eagles, black bears, and a variety of other species.

At Herring Cove, your all-terrain custom 4x4 Unimog will transport you up a steep rainforest hillside to the canopy chalet. Here your professionally trained guides outfit you with state-of-the-art safety equipment and provide a detailed orientation prior to zipping from the first platform.

Your rainforest canopy challenge features a flight over eight ziplines and three suspension bridges; 6,000 feet of high-tension cables and ground-based nature trails. Your guides will progressively ease you into the forest canopy along cables ranging from a short 100 feet to the 850-foot pulse-pounding "Ben's Revenge". Guests often see eagles and bears from the tree platforms. Discover Eagle Creek Falls, and cross three hanging sky bridges; all offering breathtaking views of the virgin forest below. You will be up to 135 feet above the forest floor. Throughout this award-winning adventure, you will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest wildlife reserve. Although wildlife sightings are frequent, they cannot be guaranteed. The Eagle Creek course is for those who have already experienced ziplining or are seeking new challenges.

The final zipline emerges from the rainforest and transports you over lush grassy wetlands to a viewing tower, 55 feet above the ground. Descend stairs and gear down at the base camp, where you will be presented with a custom-cast medal in recognition of your achievement. Upon completion of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, enjoy a complimentary snack and hot beverage, view your photograph and shop in the General Store. Narration is provided on the scenic 16-mile round-trip coastal drive to the reserve.

Javier and Kail were outstanding, knowledgeable, endured my many questions about trees and mushrooms which have nothing to do with zip lining. We felt safe and had a great time, definitely request this bunch if you can!

Excellent experience. We have ziplined on several occasions and rated Ketchikan as second next to Costa Rica zipping. Our guides were fun and very informative, made us feel safe.

This excursion, along with the Skagway Yukon Discovery & Sled Dog Tour, was tied for my favorite cruise trips. Once I got over my initial fear, I had a great time! Guides were funny (and very safe). Definitely would do this again!

Jun 2019 - Christine A.

I was hoping there would be time on the ground in between towers, would like to see it advertised as a tower to tower to bridge excursion as many others have walks in between towers. Other than that, the guides were excellent!

Jun 2019 - Lee E.

My girlfriend and I have a real blast zip lining during this excursion. The scenery was breathtaking and several of the zip lines were long and exciting. This excursion could even have been more enjoyable if our leaders spent some time discussing the forestry and nature surrounding the zip line.

Jun 2019 - Debbie G.

The Ketchikan Rainforest Zipline was amazing. Our tour guides Phil & Tatyana were AWESOME. They were knowledgeable about the surrounding environment and so much fun. We would definitely recommend this excursion and specifically these guides.

I am absolutely terrified of heights, but I did it! My family if four, two teenagers (14 & 18) loved this excursion! Our guides were AMAZING! (Chris P. Bacon & Hailey!) The swinging bridges were scary and fun! Highly recommend doing this while in Ketchikan!

Aug 2018 - Rhona P A.

I questioned whether or not I was going to do this. Up until I got there, I decided no, I'm not going to.... I was to scared. The guides said that if i could complete 2 small ones, and didn't like it I didn't have to do it. It took me a LONG TIME... to do the first one and the second one. Once I completed the second one I said, I don't want to continue. With that said, they said the only way down was to repel, and it was really scary, the guide said he wouldn't even do it. At that point, I was so scared, I didn't know what to do. Soooo, I took a deep breath, and with the support of the guides, and the people waiting to zip line. I DID IT !! Whoo Hoo. What I gathered from other zip liners, was that this one was scarier than others they had been on, and you can judge for yourself when you are on it.. Again... it is something I challenged myself to do, completed, and can't believe I did it. The guides are AWESOME, SUPPORTIVE. It's amazing what you can do if you have to :) Thanks everyone

Jul 2018 - Nazalie F.

Excellent experience. It was my first time doing this type of adventure and they really made me feel very safe and secure.

Jul 2018 - James M.

Safety first. Friendly, easy-going guides. Thrilling zips and suspension bridges. I'm afraid of heights and had no problem with this excursion. It helped that the weather was nice too.

Jun 2018 - Judith M.

We had perfect weather. Phil and Will were awesome. They informed us every step what to expect. We had the pleasure of seeing a bear while we were zip lining. Will saw it and explained why the bear was there and let us watch for awhile. Thank you!!!!!

Jun 2018 - Amanda E.

Quite an adventure! Our zipping experience was wonderful, and our guides (Andrew and Ivan) did an amazing job! The staff was friendly and helpful from start to finish. Would recommend!

Jun 2018 - Christy B.

Fun experience. Only down side was the insane amount of rain but we know you have no control over that.

Sep 2017 - Patricia C.

This was a great adventure. I'm 63 years old, my first time zip lining, and I throughly enjoyed this experience. If you're afraid of heights, this is not for you. The two young men that were our guides (I can't remember their names), were great! They made the experience really enjoyable, and very patient with my inexperience. I always felt safe.

Aug 2017 - Jaclyn D.

Lots of fun, well organized. Made sure we returned to our cruise ship on time. Highly recommend this company and zip lining.

Jul 2017 - Cheryl S.

What a fantastic tour! The bus ride was simple and very organized. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made first timers feel extremely comfortable. The Big Jeep ride was a wild fun ride to the ziplining. Even though it was raining, it turned out to a blast anyway. Can't say enough about it...well worth the money and met some great people along the way!

Jun 2017 - Scott J.

Very accommodating. Young enthusiastic workers. Great time!

May 2017 - Teri M.

My husband and I did this excursion to zipline for the very first time and it was pretty fun. It took a while for each person's turn but this is an experience everyone should do at least once! You should NOT do this excursion if you are afraid of heights because you are hundreds of feet off of the ground! It is completely safe though and the staff are very friendly.

Sep 2016 - Keri M.
