*PLEASE NOTE: THIS EXCURSION OPERATES FROM LATE JUNE - LATE JULY ONLY. JULY IS SOLD OUT FOR THE 2023 SEASON.*
Accessible only by air, the Katmai National Park and Preserve is world-famous for its astounding wildlife sightings. Our flightseeing tour focuses on the bears, who at the peak of their feeding season, can be seen catching salmon straight out of the Brook's Falls. In July, as many as 50 bears can be seen down Brooks's river banks hunting for their next meals.
After take-off, you will enjoy a 3-4 hour flightseeing experience with a window seat and a two-way headset, so you can converse with your pilot the whole ride. Fly out of Anchorage and soar over the gorgeous national parks as you make your way to the landing point.
A packed lunch is provided at the park before you make your way to the famous Brook's Falls. You will be able to watch the bears from a safe distance on an elevated platform, while they fish for salmon and plump up for the upcoming fall.
While the Katmai bear viewing at Brooks Falls is self-guided, Katmai National Park Rangers provide an initial briefing upon arrival and are available throughout the park for questions.
