Anchorage Chinitna Bay Bear Viewing Tour

Excursion Overview

Home to a multitude of brown bears

Located on the southern end of Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, Chinitna Bay is a very active feeding spot for brown bears. They can be seen from May all the way until the end of August! With a breathtaking flight to the Preserve, you will then board a four-wheel-drive bus to find the spot where the brown bears dig for clams, sunbathe, fish for salmon, and play with their cubs!

While you are getting a good view of the bears, your naturalist guide will be there to answer any questions you may have about the bears, other local wildlife, and the National Park and Preserve that keeps them all safe!

This tour is ideal for anyone looking to see real brown bears in the untamed Alaskan wild.
