Rev your Alaskan adventure up a notch on this UTV, off-road safari. Depart downtown Ketchikan and enjoy the vibrant small-town scenery and lush surrounding rainforests en route to the UTV Base Camp. An experienced guide will review driving and safety instructions to prepare you for the adrenaline ride ahead. Explore the mountainous traverse and hidden beauty of the George Inlet Fjords as you adventure along old logging roads, cut across jaw-dropping bridges, and take in the incredible scenery of Mahoney Glacial Cirque. Cirques are bowl-shaped, amphitheater-like depressions that glaciers carve into mountains and valley sidewalls at high elevations.

After an hour of UTV driving, join your guide on a 46-foot enclosed sightseeing vessel for a scenic coastal cruise. View the Mahoney Glacial Cirque miles below the trails you were just traipsing. Bring your camera to snap a picture of the old gold mines and historic George Inlet Cannery. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and be on the lookout for wildlife sightings, especially eagles.

Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be greeted by your servers to start a local craft beer tasting and crab meal. Enjoy 5 craft beers from two local breweries paired with crab chowder, smoked salmon dip, steaming hot Dungeness Crab, and a delicious piece of blueberry-topped cheesecake. Relax amid the rustic charm and the Alaskan hospitality of the lodge while enjoying this truly Alaskan experience!

Roundtrip transportation from downtown Ketchikan (guests docking at Ward Cove will need to take a shuttle to the downtown area)

Requirements:

Closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get soiled.
Minimum age to participate: 8 years old
Maximum weight: 300 lbs.
Helmets are provided and must be worn by all participants.
UTV Drivers must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license with them.
16-year-olds can drive with a valid driver's license and a parent/guardian in the UTV with them.
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to partake in the beer tasting.

Duration: 4.5 hours (Roundtrip from cruise ship terminal. (Guests docking at Ward Cove must take the shuttle to downtown Ketchikan))

45 minutes - Transportation to White River
1 hour and 45 minutes - UTV (restrooms, gear up, tour, gear down, shopping, load boat) *60-minute drive time
30 minutes - Narrated Boat Cruise to the George Inlet Lodge
1 hour - Beer Tasting and Dungeness Crab Meal at the George Inlet Lodge
30 minutes - Transportation back to the dock

Meeting Instructions:

This tour meets on Berth 2 near the Visitors Center and the Liquid Sunshine Rain Gauge. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers. Guests docking at Ward Cove will need to take a shuttle to downtown Ketchikan.
