Admire the stunning views and local marine and coastal wildlife that populate the waters in Southeast Alaska on this Ketchikan small group boat tour. The Saltwater Expedition begins from Berth 2 at the Ketchikan Cruise ship dock. This is your chance to capture the beauty of Ketchikan up close and personal as you cruise the coastline that wraps around our colorful city.
Our maneuverable, soft riding, stable 30' ACB glides through nearby hidden coves, secluded beaches, pristine inlets, salmon spawning streams, and intricate islands of the Tongass National Rainforest. Relax in a warm, comfortable cabin or step out on the deck and enjoy the mist of the rainforest as your captain delights you with the natural beauty, history, and culture of the island.
Your boat is a 30' aluminum chambered boat with twin Honda 250 outboards, deluxe seating, oversize windows, a generous observation deck, a heated cabin, a restroom, life jackets, and great visibility for those memories you cannot wait to photograph. Light snacks are provided on this excursion.
Please be advised there is a 4-person minimum for this tour to operate and the saltwater cruiser seats up to 6 passengers. When exploring Alaska, please consider packing clothing items that can be layered including a lightweight shirt, sweater, and jacket allowing you to adapt to varying temperatures. Lightweight rain gear, waterproof hiking shoes, hats, and gloves should be considered as well.
Binoculars are provided to enhance wildlife viewing opportunities.

The weather was clear and crisp and our guide ,Keith, did an awesome job giving us a lot of information on Ketchikan. The whole ride was beautiful amazing scenery. Unfortunately we only saw one whale, sort of, briefly. But would definitely do this tour again.
