Juneau Small Group Kayaking Adventure

Excursion Overview

An Intimate Alaskan Adventure: Kayaking the Mendenhall Wetlands

Explore Juneau’s incredible coastline on this small-group kayaking adventure through the beautiful Mendenhall Wetlands. After a friendly welcome from your local guide, you’ll gear up in a top-quality drysuit and lifejacket to stay warm and dry no matter the weather. No experience is necessary, your guide will provide easy, hands-on instruction before you set out on the water. With only eight guests per tour, you’ll enjoy a quiet, personal experience away from the crowds as you paddle through stunning Alaskan scenery.

Keep your camera ready as you glide past eagles perched in the trees, harbor seals resting on the rocks, and maybe even a curious sea lion or porpoise swimming nearby. From your kayak, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind view of the majestic Mendenhall Glacier, visible from six miles away as it winds through the mountain peaks. Depending on the day’s conditions, you may beach the kayaks for a walk along the shore, paddle up an estuary, or even hop in the water to test your drysuit!
