All-You-Can-Eat Gold Creek Salmon Bake

The Salmon Bake is the Alaskan version of the All-American Barbecue and since 1978 our Salmon Bake has been grilling up nothing but perfection! This all-you-can-eat buffet includes the signature Alderwood-grilled wild salmon, Cheechako chicken, Chilkoot baked beans, Tongass wild rice pilaf, fresh clam chowder, and a selection of side dishes and salads. Don't forget to save room for not only the homemade blueberry cake but also the fresh S'mores by the fire!

Hike up the short trail up to the gorgeous Salmon Creek Falls and the entrance of the famous Wagner Mine. Take in the breathtaking scenery of Gold Creek circling around the Salmon Bake, and if you're lucky you may even see some salmon swimming upstream. Don't forget to take some pictures with the interactive gold rush mural!

The food, ambiance, live music, and activities make our Salmon Bake much more than a meal. It's a full experience you aren't sure to forget!

Things You Need to Know

Inclusions:

Roundtrip transportation from the cruise ship terminal

Duration: 1.5-2 hours (Roundtrip from the cruise ship terminal.)

30 minutes - transfer to the salmon bake
1 hour - at the salmon bake
30 minutes - transport to the cruise ship terminal*
*The return buses depart back to the pier every 15-20 minutes

Meeting Instructions:

This tour meets in front of the Goldbelt Mt. Robert's Tramway building. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers.

ADA Accessibility of Tour:

This tour is limited mobility and wheelchair accessible. The large dining area at the salmon bake has plenty of room for wheelchairs to maneuver. Limited storage is available for collapsible wheelchairs and motorized scooters. Equipment would need to be broken down and able to fit through the bus door and be light enough to be lifted onto the bus. For guests confined to a wheelchair, please leave a comment and we can check on the availability of an ADA-compliant vehicle. Please leave a comment during checkout if you need specialized transportation for motorized equipment that will be required on tour. If the operator is unaware beforehand of necessary accommodations, they may not be able to accommodate guests the day of.

If your ship is late, please call your tour operator so that your tour time can be adjusted. If an alternate tour time is not compatible with your schedule, your ticket will be fully refunded with no fees or penalties.

All tours pick up either at your cruise ship or within a short walking distance of your cruise ship unless otherwise noted. When you purchase your excursion, your ticket will be sent to you via email with detailed meeting instructions and emergency contact information. If you have any questions relating to a specific excursion, please contact the tour operator listed on your ticket.

This will vary from port to port. Most excursions meet you either in front of your cruise ship or within a maximum 5-10 minute walk from your ship unless otherwise noted. All pertinent directions and details will be listed on your ticket.

We guarantee that your tour will return on time. If you were to miss your cruise ship because the tour did not return on time, we will comp your hotel, food, and flight costs associated with meeting your cruise ship the next day. We have never had a passenger miss their ship.

The whole experience was wonderful! If you want to save some money and get great service book with Alaska Shore Excursions. Hands down it was a great experience and helped with cost. This was a beautiful outdoor restaurant with a waterfall and great food! Best Salmon I had the whole trip! The shuttle was easy to find on very prompt! Remember to bring cash for a tip, these guys deserve it!
