Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 5 years and up
  • Signed liability waiver
  • This tour requires a $15 Denali National Park pass for all guests 16 years and up. We recommend that you purchase a pass ahead of time however, you can purchase your pass at the Denali Visitor's Center or in advance here. Please note that the pass is not included in the tour price.
  • Guests should be able to sustain hiking 2-4 miles on uneven terrain
  • Minimum of 2 required to book
  • Guests are encouraged to dress in warm, moisture-wicking layers and bring a rain jacket, as Alaska weather can change quickly. Sturdy, comfortable walking or hiking shoes are recommended for the best experience on the trails.

Duration: Approximately 2-4 hours (roundtrip from local Denali accommodations)

  • 30 minutes - meet your guide, and safety orientation
  • 2-4 hours - hike the Taiga and Tundra Nature Trails (hikes are available for a variety of skill levels, from beginner-friendly walks to more active trail experiences. Guests with concerns about hiking ability are encouraged to let the team know in advance so the best trail option can be selected for their comfort level)

Hikes take place in Denali’s front country on trails such as Triple Lakes, Rock Creek, and the Nenana River Trail, along with a few additional trails just outside the park boundaries. Hiking distances typically range from 2 to 7 miles, depending on the selected trail, the group’s pace, and overall hiking ability. Guests with inexperienced hikers are encouraged to let the team know in advance so the best trail option can be chosen for the group.

Guests do not need to bring bear spray. Guides carry bear spray and are trained in wildlife safety protocols, allowing guests to simply relax and enjoy the scenery.
