Requirements:

  • Not recommended for children under 4 years old due to lengthy narration

Duration: 3 hours (Roundtrip from local Denali accommodations)

  • 40 minutes - narrated transportation through scenic Nenana canyon to the kennel
  • 15 minutes - meet the pups
  • 20 minutes - outside presentation and sled dog demonstration in kennel
  • 35 minutes - indoor multimedia and live presentation about the Iditarod race
  • 20 minutes - gift shop, and puppy viewing time
  • 40 minutes - narrated transportation back to Denali local accommodations

  • This tour picks up from local accommodations in Denali. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers.

ADA Accessibility of Tour:

  • This tour is limited mobility accessible. Guests must be able to climb up and down 3 steps. There is space for collapsible wheelchairs and walkers. There is no storage available for motorized scooters. Please leave a comment during checkout if accommodations for collapsible equipment will be required on tour.

Yes, this excursion is not weather dependent. Although the first half of the presentation does take place outside, guests are protected from rain by an awning. The second half of the presentation takes place inside.

Bring a warm coat or raincoat, and perhaps a hat because the first half of the presentation is outside with our dogs. We also recommend bug spray and closed-toed footwear as a good idea.
