Skagway Klondike Bicycle Tour

Excursion Overview

Bike down 15 breathtaking miles from the White Pass summit to sea level on this unforgettable adventure through Gold Rush history.

Experience the thrill of the Klondike Gold Rush on this unforgettable Bike tour down the White Pass Summit. The adventure begins with a scenic, fully narrated van ride through historic downtown Skagway and up the breathtaking coastal mountains to the 3,292-foot summit of White Pass. Following the legendary route traveled by thousands of gold stampeders in 1898, guests are immersed in rich history while taking in sweeping views of rugged peaks and alpine landscapes.

After a bicycle orientation and test ride, riders embark on a spectacular 15-mile downhill journey along the paved Klondike Highway, coasting all the way back to sea level. During the bike ride down, guests stop for photos of the iconic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, cascading waterfalls, towering glaciers, dramatic mountain vistas, and other historic landmarks. The experience even includes a unique stop at U.S. Customs to check back into the United States by bike, making this one of the most memorable and scenic excursions in Skagway.

This tour is typically available from May through September. Our excursions were designed for cruise ship passengers but are available to everyone.
