Do you have limited time but still want to cruise and view wildlife? This 4 hour Seward Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise is a perfect tour for you! Look for Orca, humpback whales, sea otters, Steller sea lions, Dall's porpoises, puffins, harbor seals, bald eagles, and other marine life during your cruise on the calm and protected waters of Resurrection Bay. You will sail through the "Captain's Choice" route as your experienced captains will explore the area's wildlife hot spots to maximize your chances of viewing wildlife.

This cruise is fully narrated by knowledgeable captains and crew members. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, you may see alpine glaciers tucked in the surrounding Chugach and Kenai Mountain Ranges and cruise by Bear Glacier, a piedmont glacier and the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. Although this was a much larger ship, the captain was great about making sure we got up close and personal with this amazing coastline. He saw some whales spouting in the distance and changed course so we could see it. The pod of whales and we got to see them circling and feeding. Amazing! Some important points to consider if you re prone to motion sickness: every person has an assigned seat at a table inside an enclosed cabin space, so some will be traveling backwards. In addition, this tour is out on the open waters, so TAKE YOUR DRAMAMINE BEFORE YOU SAIL. SO many ppl on our tour had their head down the entire time, fighting off seasickness. This is ridiculous, especially since they sell Dramamine on the actual boat. Also, note that the best views come to those who get out of this enclosed cabin and walk along the rails. The people who sat at their tables the whole time couldn t see the whales, puffins and otters because everyone else was crowded around the rails, which blocked their view. So, I guess I m saying that this cruise is really best for people who don t have mobility issues that would keep them from getting up and outside.

My wife got to see her long-desired sight...Puffins in the Wild!! That alone would've made the cruise a success, but getting to see 6-8 whales "bubble-net feeding" was truly a gift! We thought we had seen it all on our 7-day cruise from Vancouver, but we were wrong! Definitely worth it.
