Excursion Overview

Explore the whales, wildlife, and glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park

With 7.5 hours on the water, this cruise allows time for the captain to seek out the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the area!

The captain will guide the vessel alongside seabird rookeries in the Chiswell Islands or Cape Resurrection, home to thousands of nesting seabirds including puffins, kittiwakes, and cormorants. You will also visit Steller sea lion colonies, where Steller sea lions gather on the rugged, rocky coastline. Whales, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, bald eagles, and mountain goats are also commonly seen along the route.

The boat will stop in front of Holgate and Aialik Glaciers where you will watch for potential calving, where chunks of ice break off and crash into the water. While on the water, we will begin providing a complimentary deli lunch. This hearty deli lunch will keep you fueled for your full day of adventure on the water. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are provided. Snacks, beverages, and full-bar drinks are available for purchase during the cruise.

A most wonderful tour on a beautiful boat with an amazingly friendly and helpful crew. The sights and sounds were everything they were predicted to be and we checked every box as to wildlife sightings. You name and it we saw it. If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars I would. LOVED the whole experience and especially the captain's narratives on geology, history, and the like.
