Excursion Overview

Paddle the protected waterways of the Clover Pass

Beginning with roundtrip transportation from the downtown cruise docks and Ward Cove, your tour will head north of Ketchikan to the Clover Pass Resort featuring a quieter, local vibe and typically calm waters and dryer weather. Paddling on the protected ocean waterways of Clover Pass, you’ll encounter an immense array of inter-tidal life such as bright sea stars, a bald eagle’s nest, resident seals, sea lions and the potential to encounter migratory birds, Sitka deer, Pacific porpoises, humpback whales and occasional orcas.

With experience as educators, commercial Alaskan salmon fishermen, Alaskan commercial winter dive fishermen, dog sled guides, and outdoor seasonal guiding, your guides bring experience, expertise, passion, and a local connection to your tour.

Your tour will wrap up with a treat of smoked salmon, salmon dip and other snacks (including vegan options), hot and cold beverages as you take in the scenic view. This small group tour ensures a relaxed and personable day, allowing you time to linger and soak in the natural beauty surrounding Ketchikan.
