Ketchikan Halibut Fishing Private Charter

Excursion Overview

Take advantage of some of the world's best halibut fishing here in Ketchikan!

Start your adventure with your knowledgeable guide who escorts you to the dock and navigates the charter into ideal fishing grounds. You will have ample time to catch lots of halibut. Enjoy the calm water and scenic views while you wait!

You'll fish using downriggers. There typically won't be any more than four fishing rods out while trolling because when the fish are really biting, it's hard to keep more than two rods in the water. This helps the boat cover more ground efficiently at various depths. This tour is perfect for all ages and skill sets, and your experienced captain will be there to assist.

Keep an eye out for wildlife including orcas, humpback whales, and bald eagles!

The best part is that you can keep what you catch if desired! The tour operator can facilitate overnight delivery of your fish through a local fish processor. Please see the FAQ tab for more information.

We had a great fishing day with our guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. He helped the tween age kids as well as the adults, on the boat to ensure that they brought in fish without losing them. He adjusted tactics and plan when things got slow. We had an issue were some of the lines in the boat got crossed (our fault) and he handled the situation kindly and effectively. He was meticulous about keeping the boat clean when fish blood etc was present. He helped guide us in options for processing and shipping our fish as well. Loved our fishing day!
