Our driver Richard was hilarious and kept us laughing from the moment we started out from the port. Our group's guides Cary and Ella were knowledgeable and brought lots of energy. I saw 5 black bears including 2 cubs but heard that the papa bear showed up later for those patient enough to continue waiting at the river. Cary and Ella answered all our questions, giving us more background on the bears' behaviors and actions which added to the overall experience. Then it was back on the bus with Richard for the ride back to port. The trek was easy and safe as it was all on a raised boardwalk in the forest. Highly recommend for animal lovers!

I went on the Black Bear Express Tour on 9/4/25. I wish I could remember the name of our guides. I believe one was Ella. These girls were SO incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and excited about the work they do that their excitement was contagious. We not only saw 4 adult black bears but also 2 cubs. It was quite an adventure!!
