I had been to over 30 countries and 20+ US states, and so far, this was my favorite experience! Luckily, the weather turned out great. Our shuttle driver, "Pat," was kind, and every single person who was involved was also nice. They had waterproof boots that covered our boots. Wear it. It will come in handy when you are on the glacier or in the snow with dogs. It can be windy, so bring a waterproof windbreaker. We landed on a glacier and saw many pools. Just a side note: People are bringing water jugs and drinking glacier water. Think twice! Research it! Just because it is glacier water, it is not pure and clean. (While it looks pristine, untreated glacier runoff can carry heavy metals, sharp "glacial flour" sediment, and dangerous parasites like Giardia from wildlife.) So back to the review. I highly recommend the helicopter tour combined with dog sledding. I had the opportunity to mush, and it was amazing! Try it! You won't regret it!
