The Taiya River, also called the Dyea River, is a 17 mile long river near Skagway, Alaska that borders British Columbia, Canada. The Taiya River valley is rich with glacier views, abundant wildlife, and lush flora. Depending on your preferred level of activity, we recommend a relaxing river raft tour or a hike and float combo, walking along the Chilkoot Trail. Taiya River tours are great opportunities to view wildlife, including bald eagles and the occassional bear, and to learn about Gold Rush history.
