This tour is typically available from June through August. Our excursions were designed for cruise ship passengers but are available to everyone.

Things You Need to Know

Inclusions:

  • Helmet (required) and waterproof gear (if needed)
  • Bottled water
  • Four 3-oz pours of beer samples

Requirements:

  • Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate in beer tasting and must bring a valid ID on the day of the tour
  • Minimum height: 5 feet
  • Minimum age: 16 years old
  • Maximum weight: 270 lbs
  • Guests must be in reasonable physical condition and capable of operating a bicycle
  • Guests must be comfortable riding a bicycle for 10 miles using hand brakes to control speed, and pedaling using the E-bikes's pedal assist (this tour operates on roads shared with vehicle traffic)
  • Helmets are required to be worn and are provided
  • A waiver must be signed to participate - any minors must be traveling with an adult guardian

Duration: Approximately 2.75 hours (roundtrip from the local bike shop, a short walk from the cruise ship terminal)

  • 15 minutes - bike fitting, safety briefing, and orientation
  • 10 minutes - bike to Gold Rush Cemetery
  • 30 minutes - explore Gold Rush Cemetery and Lower Reid Falls
  • 15 minutes - bike to Dyea Road Overlook
  • 20 minutes - enjoy a scenic break at Dyea Road Overlook
  • 20 minutes - ride back to the local bike shop
  • 10 minutes - walk to the local brewery
  • 45 minutes - tasting at local brewery

The tour uses Trek Allant+ 7S E-Bikes, fully equipped for riding in any weather. The E-Bikes are pedal-assist.

Backpacks, small bags, and purses are allowed on this tour.

Guests meet at the local bike shop at 307 5th Ave in Skagway at least 15 minutes prior to the tour. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers.

Beer tasting includes four 3-oz pours. (non-alcoholic option available upon request)
