Excursion Overview

Explore Sitka on a Small-Group Scenic Sightseeing Adventure

See more of Sitka beyond the downtown area on a small-group sightseeing tour in a comfortable, climate-controlled van. With a local guide leading the way, you'll travel to some of the area's scenic viewpoints and coastal spots, with plenty of opportunities to get out, take photos, and enjoy the views.

As you make your way around Sitka, you'll see colorful fishing boats in the harbor, forested hillsides, mountain peaks, and the waterways that surround the community. Your guide will share stories about Sitka's history, local life, and the natural environment, while keeping an eye out for wildlife along the route. Bald eagles, sea otters, deer, and other animals may be spotted depending on the season and conditions.

The route can vary with the weather and what's happening around town, so each outing has the opportunity to be a little different. On a clear day, you may even catch a view of Mount Edgecumbe across the water. Bring your camera and take your time at the viewpoints before continuing on to the next stop.

This small-group tour is a comfortable way to get outside the busy downtown area, see more of Sitka, and learn about the community from someone who knows it well.

This tour is typically available from April through September. Our excursions were designed for cruise ship passengers but are available to everyone.
