This tour is typically available from May through September. Our excursions were designed for cruise ship passengers but are available to everyone.

Requirements:

  • Sitka Courtesy Shuttle: To reduce wait times, all guests are now required to book their complimentary shuttle to downtown Sitka in advance! Depending on your tour time you will either need to reserve a shuttle ticket to meet at Harrigan Centennial Hall or reserve a shuttle ticket to return you to your cruise ship. Detailed instructions will be provided on your finalized ticket voucher. Please reserve your shuttle at least one hour before your scheduled tour departure to allow enough time for check-in and to ensure you're ready for your tour.

Duration: Approximately 2.5-3 hours (transportation varies by departure time)

  • Tour duration is dependent on the pace of the group.
  • 45 minutes - total transport time to all attractions
  • 30 minutes - Fortress of the bears
  • 30 minutes - Alaska Raptor Center
  • 45 minutes - Sitka National Historical Park

Meeting Instructions:

  • Morning tours depart from the Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal, while afternoon departures depart from Harrigan Centennial Hall. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers.

ADA Accessibility of Tour:

  • This tour is limited mobility accessible. Guests must be comfortable climbing 3 steps in and out of the vehicle and walking short distances. There is limited space for collapsible wheelchairs and walkers. There is no storage available for motorized scooters. Please leave a comment during checkout if accommodations for collapsible equipment will be required on tour.

Yes! If your tour takes place before 12 pm you will need to reserve a shuttle to return you to your cruise ship at the conclusion of the tour. The transportation van can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs and walkers. There is no storage available for motorized scooters.

There are no age restrictions for this tour. Infants must be able to sit in their parents' laps.

Wildlife is abundant in Southeast Alaska and sightings are possible on any tour. Bears will be viewable at the Fortress of the Bears stop during the tour.

Non-alcoholic beverages in closable containers and snacks are allowed on tour.

Water and a light snack are included on this tour

Backpacks, small bags, and purses are allowed on this tour.

Layered clothing, long pants, weather-appropriate dress, and Closed-toe shoes are recommended.

The maximum capacity for each van is 14 guests. If you have more than 14 passengers in your party, multiple vans will provide transportation for your group.

There is open seating on the tour van, however if you require a certain seat due to a physical impairment then please inform your tour guide.
