The Exit Glacier Overlook Loop Trail is an excellent way to immerse yourself in the stunning nature and landscapes of Alaska! This well-maintained 2.2-mile loop trail offers an easy to moderate hiking experience, with breathtaking views of Kenai Fjords National Park. As it meanders through a glaciated forest of tall spruce, cottonwood, and birch trees, you’ll encounter terminal moraines towering over 12 feet high. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife like moose, bears, or mountain goats, and look for quartz veins and iron and copper deposits along the way.

Follow the river that flows beneath Exit Glacier, contributing to its movement down the valley, and take in the expansive views of glacially carved valleys, spotting the many glaciers nestled among the mountain peaks.
