Journey on an Alaskan summertime adventure through Resurrection Bay. Gear up and settle into your kayak as you travel to the magnificent Bridal Veil Falls. This scenic kayaking adventure allows guests to take in the expansive and stunning environments of Seward, Alaska.

Guests should be in good physical health as this tour is moderately difficult. Launching from Lowell Point, paddle along the coastline to Tonsina Point. Wildlife may make an appearance so keep an eye out for eagles, jumping salmon, diving birds, sea ducks, porpoises, and more.

Your arrival at Bridal Veil Falls will allow you to hike down to the base of the waterfall and explore the surrounding area. Time permitting, your expert guide may have an option available for a second landing at Tonsina Point Snacks, beverages, and lunch are available for all guests before making the return trek.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age to participate: All guests must be 8 years or older
  • Minimum of 2 passengers required to book
  • This is a physical activity and recommended for guests in able physical and mental states
  • The maximum weight is 300 lbs. Please note that guests over 6'6" or 275 lbs. may not fit comfortably inside the kayaks.

Duration: 5-6 hours (Courtesy shuttle provided from Seward city area.)

  • 30 minutes - Gear up and transportation to Lowell Point
  • 4-4.5 hours - Kayaking along the Tonsina Point coastline with stops along the way, a short walk on an unmaintained trail to the base of the waterfall, lunch break, and time permitting, an option to make a second landing at Tonsina Point.
  • 30 minutes - Degear and return transportation to the local office or courtesy drop off at desired location within the Seward city area

Wildlife is abundant in Alaska and sightings are possible on any tour. However, this is not a designated wildlife tour and nothing can be guaranteed.

For your comfort, guests are encouraged to wear their own rain gear (jacket and pants) otherwise, waterproof jackets, pants, and boots are provided. Wear your own socks and avoid cotton/denim. Synthetic water-wicking and fast-drying materials are best along with wool socks, hats, or beanies.

For a worry-free day, we highly recommend storing your luggage at your hotel or the Seward Train Depot before embarking on the tour. We also recommend seeing if your cruise line can transfer your bags directly to your hotel or the Train Depot for you. We can hold your luggage, but only during the time of the tour.
