Seek out the best fishing in town with your experienced fishing guide. Learn and practice the secrets of using a flasher, a hoochie, or a jig to lure in your catch. Based on the tide and time of year, your guide will have you trolling for King, Coho, Pink Salmon, and halibut.

Meet your guide at your pier as they whisk you over to the marina and outfitting area. The team will collect the state fee for your fishing license on the day of your tour. Then it's time to gear up in the provided waterproof boots, bib overalls, hooded jackets, hats, and gloves.

Once aboard your skiff, head out to the fishing grounds just South of Ketchikan. Keep a lookout for local wildlife on the journey before spending the next several hours fishing. Delight in the absolute thrill of fighting your fish, netting it, and bringing it home to enjoy.

Please note that each boat (skiff) can hold up to 4-5 guests - multiple skiffs will depart at the selected departure time

Requirements:

Fishing license. You will purchase from the tour operator at the start of your excursion. The cost of a non-resident 1-day fishing license is $15.00. King salmon tags are an additional $15.00.

Duration: 5-6 hours (Roundtrip from cruise ship terminal.)

15 minutes - Escort from the cruise ship terminal to the marina
30 minutes - Purchase fishing license and outfitting for the excursion
4.5 hours - Fishing with a provided Box Lunch
20 minutes - Return to the marina

Meeting Instructions:

This tour meets in front of your cruise ship if docking at Berths 1-4. If your ship docks at Ward Cove, you will be picked up there and you do not need to take the shuttle. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers.

ADA Accessibility of Tour:

This tour is limited mobility accessible. Your guide can offer assistance transferring from a wheelchair to your seat on the boat. Please leave a comment during checkout if accommodations for collapsible equipment will be required on tour.

Frequently Asked Questions

A skiff is an open boat that is propelled by an outboard motor. A skiff is a modern cousin to Vancouver's longboat or the Native Alaskan oceangoing canoe. We operate 20 ft. Raider skiffs equipped with Honda 90 HP outboard motors.

We like to ensure that all guests are as comfortable as possible when joining us for their fishing adventure. Therefore, we limit guests to 5 in each skiff, but the average is 4.

Each guest is provided with waterproof boots, bib overalls, hooded jackets, hats, and gloves. All fishing gear will be available and instruction given by your guide.

We have been operating fishing tours for ten years, and we rarely have passengers that have to deal with seasickness, even those who are prone to motion sickness are comfortable on our boats. The boats which we operate have a low center of gravity, eliminating the rolling motion that usually generates a queasy stomach. However, if you do get sick there will be no extra charge.

In order to fish, the State of Alaska requires you to purchase a one-day Alaska fishing license. The cost of a non-resident 1-day fishing license is $15.00. King salmon tags are an additional $15.00.

Upon arrival back to the marina, if you choose to have your fish shipped home or have it smoked, a form will be available to complete. The team will process your fish for shipping to arrive on the date of your choice.
