There is also an informative video that plays continuously throughout the day so you can explore it at your leisure.

All of this adventuring is sure to stir up your appetite. The next step of this Juneau Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake Tour is a trip to the wild Alaskan Salmon Bake. Don't forget to grab a slice of blueberry cake before you wander to the waterfalls, make S'mores by the fire, or just settle in to listen to live Alaskan folk music.

Title was a little misleading. I was under the impression this was an actual guided tour at the visitors center area. Driver, was prompt to pick us up at the pick up spot. After dropping us off at the visitors center, we were informed we would be picked up in an hour to be taken to the salmon bake. Not a ton of time to hike/explore. Had enough time to walk down to the beach area, but was still another 10 minutes to walk to the foot of Nugget Falls, so we didn't have time to get there before we were to be picked up. Driver dropped us off at the salmon bake, where we were the first ones there. Food was very good and filling. Obviously, weather was not under control of the company, so there can't be any fault for that, and the salmon bake had all the seating area covered and heated to accommodate. Decided to return to the glacier on our own a few days later to have more time to explore and hike all the way to Nugget Falls.

My party of 8 enjoyed the glacier tour and salmon bake. A fair price for what was offered and the food was great with lots of options. We would have enjoyed a bit more time at the glacier (we had about 1 hour).

Excellent tour! The Salmon bake was delicious and fun! Our timing was a bit tight but the people at the Salmon bake took the group of us directly back to our ship! Our kids enjoyed it very much!
