  • 30 minutes - gear up and transportation to fishing grounds along the Resurrection Bay coast
  • 3 hours - Fishing for Red (Sockeye) Salmon
  • 30 minutes - return to local office in Seward

Frequently Asked Questions

For a worry-free day, we highly recommend storing your luggage at your hotel or the Seward Train Depot before embarking on the tour. We also recommend seeing if your cruise line can transfer your bags directly to your hotel or the Train Depot for you. We can hold your luggage, but only during the time of the tour.

This tour requires that you obtain a $15 one-day fishing license, which can be purchased through the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game.

Depending on the time of the season will determine what species of fish you will be able to target. The most popular fish to be caught in Resurrection Bay is Sockeye (Red) Salmon and Coho (Silver) Salmon. The best chance for Sockeye Salmon will be from mid/late May to the end of July. The best chance to catch Coho Salmon is the beginning of Aug to mid-Sept. Pink (Humpy) Salmon will typically bridge the gap between the other species.

Our Guides will fillet all of the fish you caught and show you where you can take it to get fully processed and shipped home!

Wildlife is abundant in Alaska and sightings are possible on any tour, however, this is not a designated wildlife tour and nothing can be guaranteed. While there is generally good success with fishing, there are no guarantees.

Guests must be comfortable walking short distances and this is walk-in fishing. Guests must be able to walk on uneven and sometimes slippery ground.

The minimum age to participate is 12 years old.
