Excursion Overview

Mount Rainier National Park Scenic Day Tour from Seattle

Departing from Seattle, this guided day tour explores the spectacular landscapes of Mount Rainier National Park and its iconic centerpiece, Mount Rainier. Guests enjoy convenient pickup from Seattle hotels or a central meeting point before traveling through scenic foothills and evergreen forests on the way to the national park. A brief stop at a local grocery store allows travelers to purchase coffee, snacks, or lunch for the day before continuing toward the mountain. Inside the park, highlights include visits to the historic Longmire Visitor Center and the renowned Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center, along with stops at some of the park’s most scenic natural landmarks such as Narada Falls, Christine Falls, and the picturesque viewpoints at Reflection Lakes.

Rising 14,410 feet above Washington State, Mount Rainier is the most prominent peak in the lower 48 states and one of the most heavily glaciated mountains in the world, with 25 major glaciers feeding rivers that carve deep valleys and create dramatic waterfalls throughout the park. The landscape ranges from towering old-growth forests to alpine ridges and subalpine meadows, which become world-famous for vibrant wildflower blooms in summer around the Paradise area.

Wildlife such as marmots, Roosevelt elk, black-tailed deer, mountain goats, and black bears are sometimes spotted along the way. Traveling in comfortable vehicles with oversized viewing windows and knowledgeable local guides, visitors enjoy a seamless adventure through one of the Pacific Northwest’s most breathtaking destinations, filled with glaciers, waterfalls, scenic viewpoints, and unforgettable views of Mount Rainier.

This tour is typically available year round. Our excursions were designed for cruise ship passengers but are available to everyone.
