Ketchikan Duck Tour

After meeting your duck on the cruise ship dock, your 45-minute journey through the historic neighborhoods of Ketchikan will begin. You'll want to sit back and enjoy the amusing commentary, guaranteed to 'quack' you up! Have your cameras ready as you make your way through one of Alaska's most famous tunnels, on your way to the picturesque Bar Harbor.

Upon arriving at the harbor, it'll be 'all hands on duck' when the bus turns into a boat and splashes into the Tongass Narrows. Witness Ketchikan's legendary commercial fishing industry as your 45-minute adventure on the water begins. As we wade through the water, keep your eyes peeled for Alaskan wildlife. You may spot a soaring bald eagle, marine mammal, or even another duck. Throughout the adventure, your Ketchikan Duck Tour guide will engage and entertain you.

Join us for a unique and unforgettable experience aboard this Coast Guard-certified and inspected amphibian, which doubles as a boat and a bus!

Fun and surprisingly good tour. The unique vessel gets into the water also! Kids love it.

Jul 2022 - Marco G.

A nice experience to tour a small city in an amphibian vehicle, see the landmarks and sail watching the eagles and seals. The crew is friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Overall a great experience!

May 2022 - Diane J.

We had so much fun! Tour was very informative. I can't remember the Captain and tour guide names but would definitely recommend this tour!

May 2022 - Cherie W.

The day we took this excursion it was raining. But we had a great time and the driver and the narrator were both very amusing and made sure we were all happy and welcomed. I would highly recommend this excursion!

Sep 2021 - Kirk M.

It is s nice tour. There isn t a lot to see on the water.

Jul 2021 - Linda G.

Only ones on the bus. Not much fun

Oct 2019 - Jordan L.

This excursion was very easy to find. It was a treat being in a vehicle that converted to a boat. Since it was a shorter time excursion they did cover a lot about the town and were very informative but we did not see much activity in the water which would've been great but again we went late in September. The captain and his mate were very delightful and entertaining. The only reason I am not giving five stars is that there was not much to see once in the water, but that is not the crews fault..otherwise I would have.

Humor and good information

Sep 2019 - Sabatina O.

A lot of fun despite the rain. Tour guide (Nathan?) was great.

Aug 2019 - Zhengfan Y.

A very nice experience for the price, especially suitable for the kids. The tour guide, Jeannette, is awesome.

Aug 2019 - Andrew S.

Unfortunately, this tour spent a lot of time in town traffic and we got to see the harbour from our cruise ship anyway when we left. The duck boats are a novelty - so if you've not done one before it is still worthwhile.

My grandsons & I enjoyed our experience on the duck boat. We certainly got to know a lot about Ketchikan. It was so much fun.

Aug 2019 - Rebecca L.

The driver and the narrator were nice and pleasant.

Jul 2019 - Patricia T.

The guides were great and it was fun to go from land to water. We wish we could have gone to the totem pole park and gotten off and walked around for just a few minutes. It listed totem poles to be seen so we assumed that meant the park collection, but it was just one that was along the road side. It would be nice to do more on the outlying area of the town.

Jun 2019 - Percy M.

Very nice, friendly and funny guide

Jun 2019 - Susan W.

The tour through town was good, the "boat" ride less interesting than anticipated. The driver and guide were great.

Jun 2019 - Ifang L.

Good to explore the town on land and water with narrative

May 2019 - Tonya W.
