Ketchikan Aerial Zipline and Rappel Course

Upon arriving, you'll board a 4x4 all-terrain Unimog for a short drive to the briefing camp. Here, you'll receive a detailed safety briefing and gear up with state-of-the-art safety equipment. A short uphill walk takes you to the zipline where your guide will introduce you to the ziplines that will take you on your aerial adventure.

You'll witness panoramic ocean, forest, and mountain vistas from the platforms in this lush rainforest preserve. Each successive zip ride provides a unique perspective and a new challenge. You'll be challenged as you zoom along 7 ziplines and rappel between platforms through hemlock and cedar-filled forest.

Back at the base camp, time permitting, you are invited to tour the historic Fleenor Sawmill, observe a Master Native Totem Carver at work before exploring a garden of completed totem poles, visit the Alaska Raptor Center's Ketchikan exhibit to see their amazing birds of prey up close or check out the offerings at the General Store to cap off this exhilarating day.

Our expert guides: Sadott and Kevin we're/are excellent. They made certain we were safe and our harnesses properly secure throughout our entire experience. They are funny, friendly, and played well off of one another. The gift shop is well-stocked and reasonably priced. The facilities are clean. The Blacksmith is a quality touch. The Totems are beautiful. The mountaintop view and scenery is beautiful. And their historic Mercedes Benz WWII Troop Transport vehicles are an interesting surprise. I sincerely and highly recommend this tour with this company. The total memorable experience is much more than simply zip lining. One more thing: the port pickup and drop-off was perfect.

Had a great time zip lining with two gentlemen who knew how to treat customers. I give them a 10 plus.

Aug 2019 - Yit Chan C.

A wonderful zip line experience, good and safe equipped, the instructors was superb.

8 of us had a ball! The guides were truly engaging and fun! They were able to related to the kids as well as joke with the adults, making the day just fantastic. They also made us feel comfortable and ensured our safety. Truly, the guides made our excursion a memorable one...and the views were breathtaking!

The tour guides were very informative and helpful.

I am 73 years young and with a great fear of heights and I wanted to face my fear on this cruise, so I thought a good way to do it was zipline. And I was right! Grant and Patrick were supper, they made me feel very comfortable. The first one we did was the beginning of my fear being gone. They made sure we knew everything before letting go. Because of them my fear is gone and I'm already planning on going skydiving either this coming March or on my 75th birthday and I can't wait.

Jun 2019 - David R.

Grant and Patrick were so very helpful! Felt safe the whole time! Beautiful scenery and an awesome excursion!

Sep 2018 - Ann M.

This was really great. We're in our 60's and 70's and did the 'baby' one but wished we'd done a 'grown up' version. Our instructors, Stef and Megan were both wonderful and skilful.

Aug 2018 - Gail P.

This is an exhilarating ride through the trees - although it was too dry of a season to see bears - we enjoyed the experience. The guides were very humorous and patient with us - as we were 'first timers'.

Aug 2018 - Carmen J.

Such a fun excursion! Very much enjoyed zip lining at Bear Creek and we were even able to see 3 bears and some deer while out there. So amazing! Had a lot of fun with our family - 4 adults and 1 child. Some of the lines were difficult for my nephew (9) but he loved every moment and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Jul 2018 - Eileen M.

We highly recommend! This was my first time doing a zip line and I am so glad I did it. I felt completely safe, thanks to the guides, who were also a lot of fun! The park was beautiful and we even saw a bear from up on one of the platforms. So much fun! Plus pick up from our cruise ship and return back (on time) was perfect.

Jul 2018 - Robert S.

Amazing scenery. Saw a momma bear and her 2 cubs eating berries. Very cool! Ziplines a blast. Excellent guides (Branch and Emma). Both professional and fun. We had a great time! We highly recommend!

Jul 2018 - Chinthaka B.

The hosts (Mickey and Jordan) were fantastic. They added energy and enthusiasm to create a truly exciting experience. The zipline itself was rather mild and is good for families with young children. In hindsight I should have booked the more advanced tour rather than this. However, the overall experience was excellent. Thank you.

Jul 2018 - Jessica C.

Our zip lining guides were awesome! I felt very comfortable safety wise being up there with my son. Our guides did a fantastic job! Highly recommend this tour.

Jul 2018 - Katherine K.

Our family had a first-rate experience with Brant and Anthony. Even though our two kids were just barely at that 70 lb weight limit, the guides managed to get them across the course with no issues and the kids loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this excursion for first time zip liners. They had a practice zip line and then slowly worked you up to the high-speed lines. The view of Ketchikan was gorgeous from the tree tops.

Jun 2018 - Sangmi K.

From reservation, from pick up to drop off and everything in between, the service was amazing and excursion was fun and exciting. Our zipline guide Ivan made the trip very memorable!

Jun 2018 - John G R.

Everyone had a great time. Great day. So happy we booked direct and not through the ship

Jun 2018 - Jane K.

8 ziplines, all of them very enjoyable. Staff were supportive, helpful, friendly and safe. A great experience.

Jun 2018 - Mike P.

Fantastic guides that made the excursion fun and interesting. They made everyone in the large group feel like they were the only one there. Great instruction and beautiful

Jun 2018 - April S.

We actually saw a bear! Amazing adventure! We felt completely safe standing hundreds of feet up in trees!

Jun 2018 - Margaret R.

Had a great time and felt safe. Staff knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor.

Jul 2017 - Carolyn T.

Great experience!! Luke and Shannon were outstanding guides/professional and friendly. If you are afraid of heights or speed this may not be the excursion for you... but if you want to face your fears (I did!) Luke and Shannon will take great care of you. Also- there are two short repellings included in this tour/ not a big deal! Would definitely recommend this excursion to others!

Jul 2017 - Michael A.

Great fun and our guides were funny and a real blast to be with. Zach and Luke were very good with our kids, and we had a great time. They certainly made it fun.

Jul 2017 - Ken K.

The guides we had made this excursion the most entertaining of them all. They joked with the kids, played along with our craziness and did a great job at making everyone feel comfortable. The only downside is that each leg of the zip line was kind of short and as you had to be responsible for slowing yourself down as you came to the end, there was often not enough time to enjoy the beautiful scenery you were "flying" over.

May 2017 - Christel P.

Nick and Amanda were amazing guides! Even in the pouring rain, we had a blast.
