Begin your adventure on a hybrid bicycle as you bike through Vancouver’s most colorful neighborhood, the Davie Street Village. Journey to Mole Hill, the largest collection of heritage homes in the city. Follow your guide through Downtown along the Hornby Street bike path as you make your way to the seawall for panoramic views of the city.

Stanley Park is the city’s green heart, an urban oasis that absolutely cannot be missed. Your guide will explain the history of its creation, show you the art of the First Nations, and lead you into the rainforest for a discovery walk to Beaver Lake. The final leg will roll you along the west side of the park for a picturesque view of the coastline.

This half-a-day adventure is an active introduction to the city and a suitable and sustainable ride for most ages and abilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Age: 10 years old
  • Must know how to ride a bike and use hand brakes. Minimal elevation gain.
  • Closed-toed, comfortable shoes and appropriate layered clothing for the weather (sunglasses, sunscreen, raincoats, gloves, etc.)

Duration: 3.5 hours (Roundtrip from bike rental shop.)

  • 15 minutes - Arrive at Bike Rental Shop, sign waivers, bike sizing and safety orientation
  • 1.25 hours - Bike through Davie Street Village, Mole hill, Robson Square, Financial District and along the seawall to Stanley Park with discussions and stops along the route
  • 15 minutes - Restroom break
  • 1.75 hours - Continued bike tour with several stops, a ride to Beaver Creek Canyon trail for a walk through the rainforest to Beaver Lake, and more as you return to the bike rental shop

Meeting Instructions:

  • This tour meets at English Bay Bike Rentals which is a 5-10 minute drive from the cruise ship terminal or 30 minute walk. Transportation is not included from the cruise ship terminal or local hotels. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Closed toe shoes are recommended. Layered clothing, sunscreen and other weather appropriate attire. Small backpacks may be worn at your discretion.

Water bottles are included for you to use during the tour. Food is not included.

The maximum number of riders is 10.

95% of this tour is done on AAA bike paths (All-Ages-and-Abilities). There is one short section at the beginning where guests ride on a traffic-calmed street.

A bike tour allows you to safely cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. A local guide gives you the stories and information to make the scenery come alive on an activity excursion.

This tour covers approximately 11 miles. There is a small hill at the start of the tour but the majority of the route is on flat terrain.

The tours are curated to feature routes and lengths that are appropriate for all riders.

Specialized Sirrus X 3.0 hybrid bikes are used for this tour. These bikes have a wide range of gears, disc brakes and an extremely light frame. The Sirrus is a perfect bike for light city touring.
