Reporting Accurate Weights

Pricing per passenger is by weight (fully clothed). We offer the following options:

Standard - Weight Class 1-259lbs
Standard Plus - Weight Class 260-299lbs
Premium - Weight Class 300lbs+

Please report proper weights of all guests (including the weight of clothes and boots). Inputting improper weights, or selecting the wrong passenger type can lead to cancellation without refund. Please be aware that every guest is individually weighed at the helicopter base.

  • Guests must be comfortable walking short distances on uneven and occasionally icy surfaces
  • Seating arrangements are subject to availability and safety. Passenger names and weights are required by the FAA for passenger safety and comfort, as well as weight and balance calculations for flight manifesting. Although your family may be on the same tour departure, you are not guaranteed seats in the same helicopter.

Duration: 2.5 hours (Roundtrip from cruise ship terminal.)

  • 20~30 minutes - roundtrip transportation
  • 30 minutes - preflight safety briefing and preparation
  • 30 minutes - glacier flightseeing via helicopter
  • 20~25 minutes - guided walk at glacier landing

Meeting Instructions:

  • This tour meets in front of the Goldbelt Mt. Robert's Tramway building. Fully detailed instructions are included on your finalized ticket vouchers.

ADA Accessibility of Tour:

  • This tour is limited mobility and wheelchair accessible. The tour provider has an ADA-compliant vehicle and can transport guests with wheelchairs and walkers, with advance notice. Once at the base, guests can be transferred into and out of the helicopter via chair lift. During the glacier landing, guests who utilize the lift will remain in the helicopter where doors will remain open for optimum viewing. Please leave a comment during checkout and select the ADA Standard Passenger type if accessibility accommodations will be required.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a maximum of 6 passengers per helicopter. Seating arrangements are subject to availability and safety. Although your family may be on the same tour departure, you are not guaranteed seats in the same helicopter. If your group is split, the helicopters will land together on the ice.

There are two front seats and four rear seats; FAA safety guidelines require seating positions to be assigned based on weight and balance of all passengers for each helicopter.

The average temperature is between 15-20°F cooler than on the ground.

Wildlife is abundant in Southeast Alaska and sightings are possible on any tour, however, this is not a designated wildlife tour and nothing can be guaranteed.

There are no age restrictions for this tour.

All bags must be stored at the helicopter base and are not allowed on tour. The helicopter base has locked benches at the base for you to securely and safely store belongings while on your tour.

Yes, you can bring your DSLR camera on this tour.

Food and drink are not allowed during this tour.

Water is available at the helicopter base, no food or drink is provided while on tour.

Adult and child prices are the same for this tour.

For safety reasons, service animals are not allowed on this tour.

Guests must be comfortable walking short distances on uneven and occasionally icy surfaces.

Layered clothing, hats, gloves and sunglasses are strongly recommended.

There are restroom facilities at the helicopter base before you depart on your tour, but there are no restrooms available on the glacier.

If the weather is just not cooperating with us and our pilots determine that it’s too bad to fly, we’ll do our best to reschedule you to a later time of day that works for you. If you choose not to reschedule, or we can’t find a time that works for you, our refund policy clearly states that cancelations due to weather are refunded in full.

Our helicopter fleet is comprised of Eurocopter Astar 350s with a supplementary complement of Bell Jet Rangers.

We are unable to guarantee any seating assignments in advance of your tour date. Weight and balance are calculated when passengers are weighed during check-in and the seats are assigned at that time.
